Summary

The author reflects on the realization that the soul is self-nourishing and eternal, and that one's true purpose is to align the temporary vessel of the body with the soul's guidance.

Abstract

The text delves into the philosophical inquiry prompted by "What might nourish my soul?" The author concludes that the soul, being eternal and self-sufficient, requires no external nourishment. Instead, the soul nourishes the mortal aspect of the self. The author's journey involves extending the moments of spiritual clarity and manifesting these insights in the physical world. This shift in perspective—from attempting to feed the soul to allowing the soul to sustain the body—is central to the author's pursuit of unity and expanded consciousness. The narrative suggests a process of inner exploration and transformation, aiming to integrate the eternal soul with the transient physical existence on Earth.

Opinions

  • The author believes that the soul is inherently eternal and self-sustaining, contrasting with the transient nature of the physical body.
  • There is an emphasis on the importance of making spiritual insights a lasting part of one's consciousness.
  • The author has experienced "flashes" of spiritual understanding and views these moments as a connection with the soul's eternal nature.
  • The text suggests that the true role of the individual is to serve as a vessel for the soul, rather than the other way around.
  • The author's concept of "unison" implies a harmonious state where the soul and body function as a cohesive whole.
  • The process of aligning with the soul's guidance is described as a meaningful endeavor, akin to a "battlefield" where one strives to become their true, expanded self.
  • The author's conscience is attuned to the idea that the soul's nourishment is essential for the authentic expression of the self.

Friday’s prompt: “What might nourish my soul?”

The Feeder Is My Soul

Target’s direction has been reversed

What moves by itself without needing a separated “motor”, is eternal; ’cause it doesn’t depend on any outside-of-it factor. My eternal part — my soul — is nourished by itself; no need for me to be the feeder. My purpose from the moment I “saw” that, was to make that realization permanent. As I consciously act to make the “flashes” last longer, I simultaneously bring to my outside world proof of what these “flashes” tell me. I don’t try to nourish my soul; it doesn’t need it. I’ve reversed the direction of my target; I work for the soul to nourish its temporary vessel. Or — better say — for making my non-eternal part use consciously the nutrients that come from the everlasting substance I enclose; to “activate” the unison. For behaving as a whole on this meaningful battlefield called “Earth”, and be-come again the real expanded “me” my conscience is since forever.

Note: This is a response to Friday’s prompt: “What might nourish my soul?”, as expressed beautifully in the following story, by a conscious, self-expanding warrior: 𝘋𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘢 𝘊.
