Medium, Vocal and News Break seem to be a popular triad among online writers. Although I’m very happy and comfortable with Medium, I wanted to try out Vocal and News Break to broaden my reach.

I joined Vocal 2 months ago, and I must say I’m rather disappointed with it. The interface is complicated, it’s hard to do even basic things like copy-paste (not that Medium’s is perfect either, but it works decently). Controls and settings are hard to find in Vocal; and I haven’t even found where to see how my stories are going in terms of views and income.

With News Break, it’s just out of question… only after signing up for their creator program, do you realize that you must reside in the USA to write for them… boomer!
