Summary

The website content describes a personal life story, chronicling each decade of the author's life through selected songs, from early childhood struggles to self-discovery in adulthood, as a response to the "Deluded Custodians March Challenge."

Abstract

The author presents a unique autobiographical narrative by curating a soundtrack that encapsulates the essence of each decade of their life. The narrative culminates in the author's discovery of their autism in their sixties, leading to a newfound understanding and acceptance of their life's journey. A Challenge

If I wrote a best-selling novel, it wouldn’t be a novel, it would be an autobiography full of failures.

I’m going to break the soundtrack down into one song per decade, otherwise, we are all going to be here for a very long time.

Age 0–9 subtitled: autistic girl fails at school but keeps picking herself up and trying again. The song?

Age 10–19 subtitled: autistic girl tries to fit in

Age 20–29 subtitled: gets married . . .

Age 30–39 subtitled: gets divorced and goes off the rails.

Age 40–49 subtitled: life isn’t what I thought it was.

Age 50–59 subtitled: Annie looks for love again and meets Roger

Age 60+ subtitled: Annie discovers she is autistic. Those who find themselves ridiculous sit down next to me, and let us laugh together at our failures.

The future? Who knows, but it might get darker, and I just love this one:

This was a response to Ann James’ Deluded Custodians Challenge. Want to have a go too?
