My Journey To 700 Followers In 29 Days
Simple techniques to multiply your followers!
If you have been following my journey, you will have read that I just started not very long ago. In fact, less than one month ago. I am totally grateful for my followers and for my journey from Vocal to Medium. If you are new and hope to get more followers, my advice to you is to follow my proven strategies.
Start With Smaller Goals
If you are new to Medium, aim to get 100 followers. Set realistic goals and focus on this daily for 1 week.
Start Writing
Spent time to write an article on a daily basis. If you are really in need of a topic, write about anything that interests you. It could be the latest West Side Story movie or the latest James Bond thriller. Find something to write about. I normally sit down and write, and walk away. I come back to add a few more ideas. I also spend time editing my article. Yes, it does take time but that’s what writers do. One article may take me 1 or 2 hours. Please take your time and make sure your article passes spell and grammar checks. Also, ensure that your title is appealing and will make the reader want to read your article.
Participate
Participate in the Medium community. Find articles that you like and comment on the article. Find articles about getting followers.
Clap, engage, and comment. When you comment, make sure it stands out. You’ll want to say more than “that’s a good article.” Describe what you liked about it. Add a few more sentences. A few people commented on my articles and I really appreciated the comments that were more thoughtful. If you add more meaningful statements, you may end up getting readers and followers. In fact, after I read a few comments, I checked out a few stories made by my followers.
The biggest thing I have noticed is that some new writers are reluctant to follow anyone without getting a follow first. This is the wrong attitude and will result in the new writer not achieving 100 followers. As of this moment, I have more people that I follow than follow me.
Avoid negativity. I noticed that a few newbies are writing articles that state it is so hard to get followers. That is absolutely not true. If that was the case, I would not be at more than 700 followers in under 30 days.
If you are really desperate for followers, you can comment that you are a new writer and would really like followers to get on the Medium Partner Program. Mention that you would also love people to read and follow your own articles. You can also state that you would be happy to read and follow their own articles. I know that getting 100 followers sounds like a lot, but believe me, the community on Medium is fantastic and everyone really is interested in helping everyone out.
I just want to take a brief moment to thank some of my followers who helped me get 700 followers. Please join me as I applaud:
Arun Rajendran, Kaz Rochford, Don Victor, Equality Articles, Paul Knulst, Uli Saragih, Bernie Chowdhury, James Schnebly, Jason H. Smith, Symposium, Kimberley June, Jessica Gale Friesen, Players’ Journal, Faizan Shaikh, Beltus Nkwawir, Owen W., Bright Okeye, Rosemi Mederos, Paul, Nuha Khaled, Jamal Ballouk, Charlie Smith, Roberta Mirtha, Paul Mansfield, Emily Forman, Paul Smithson, Janice Tovey, among others.
I would love to mention everyone but I cannot due to space limitations. I thank each and anyone of you for being my followers. I also intend to help anyone else who needs new followers.
My final word is to stay positive, join publications like this one, and participate in the Medium community.
If you follow these steps, you won’t need to go on Instagram, Twitter, or any other social media. It’s important to note that Followers will come to you passively when you write new articles.
