My journey Of 1.5k Followers In 59 Days On Medium
As I sat down to write my first article on Medium, I felt excitement and nervousness.
I had heard about the platform’s potential to help writers build an audience, but I wondered if anyone would read my work.
Well, just start no matter what; otherwise, after 2, 3 months, or maybe a year later, you will think of damn” Perhaps I should start earlier. No work is big or small. It’s our mindset that makes us strong and doer.
Despite my doubts about what I would do and how long it will take too many questions in my mind, although I have OCD, hehe nevertheless, I decided to take the challenge and publish my first article.
Surprisingly, it quickly gained traction, receiving dozens of views and a handful of likes. Encouraged by this early success, I started to write more frequently, aiming to publish at least one article daily.
Over the next few weeks, I experimented with different topics and styles, learning what resonated with Medium’s audience and what didn’t.
I also started to engage more with other writers on the platform, leaving thoughtful comments on their articles and responding to comments on my own.
As I continued to write and engage with the community, I saw a steady increase in my followers. Each time I hit a new milestone, from 100 to 500 to 1,000 and more followers, I felt a sense of accomplishment.
Looking back on just two months prior, several factors contributed to my success.
Consistency was essential, as I consciously tried to publish new articles regularly. Social media promotion also helped, as I shared my work on Facebook to reach a border audience. I still need to try Twitter, but it’s practical too.
The most important factor was the quality of my content. I made a point to write informative, engaging, and well-researched articles.
By providing value to my readers, I built a loyal following on Medium.
Now, with more than 1,000 followers under my belt, I feel a sense of confidence and motivation to continue writing and growing my audience.
