A Phoenix’s Flight: A Poem of Recovery
From Ashes to Soaring Heights
I was once consumed by flames My world in ashes, all the same A shell of who I used to be Lost in pain, too blind to see
But from the ashes, I did rise My spirit soaring to the skies A phoenix born anew, reborn My spirit free, no longer torn
With every step, I grew stronger Each day a gift, no longer longer My scars, they tell a story true Of pain, but also of breakthrough
For every fall, I rose again Through tears and sweat, through joy and pain I learned to love and trust myself To leave behind my doubts and guilt
Now I am free, my heart light No longer lost, but shining bright My wings they spread, I take to flight And soar beyond my wildest sight
For in the darkest depths of night I found my strength, my will to fight And from the ashes, I arose A phoenix flying, free to grow
