I really thought he was joking but he wasn’t

My husband and I had a long drive from Andorra to Hyeres, we arrived just right before dark in Hyeres. We found a place to camp just next to the beach.

Just before I closed my eyes inside the tent, my husband told me that we have a long day tomorrow as we need to visit Saint Tropez.

Our conversation goes like this…

Husband: We need to go to Saint Tropez to see Gendarmerie!

Me: What? Who is Gendarmerie? Your friend?

Husband: Noooh!

Me: How long will it take to get there?

Husband: About 1 hour to an hour and a half, maybe.

Me: Can you go alone? I am super tired today and tomorrow, I just want to be at the beach.

The next morning, my husband was super excited and claimed we have to go together.

We arrived in Saint Tropez after an hour-plus drive from the Hyeres camping area.

The French Riviera has long been a destination for the rich and famous. One of the most popular towns on the Riviera is Saint Tropez. Saint Tropez is known for its beautiful beaches, luxury hotels, and chic boutiques. The town has a long history dating back to the Roman Empire. Saint Tropez was a small fishing village until the 1950s when it was discovered by celebrities and wealthy Europeans.

It was shocking for me to see the shopping street with so many people walking and some were just drinking and eating by the side of the street.

Beautiful and well-preserved Roman architecture and narrow alleys with all the famous brands are here. Famous brands like Dior, TODS, Louis Vuitton, and every brand that rich people want to buy are here.
