My First Month Earning of $4.64 From Medium Partner Program And My Marketing Strategy

Medium recently changes the system for paying its partners. In the previous system, you will get paid for Claps. Now, you get paid for the member time read. This is beautiful and more effective because, if someone is reading your content and they don’t clap, you will not get any money but in the new system, you get paid for the read time. The more read time, the more money you will make.

I love this system for getting paid for the member-read time.

This was my first month on the Medium Partner program. Doing something for the first time is a bit very uncertain and the uncertain decrease with passing time.

Previously, I was on Medium only for writing, I am writing on Medium from the past 6-months but now, the situation is changing. This month I tried something new.

The biggest thing on Making Money on the Internet

Once my mentor said,

A platform that gives you the first cent, keep clam and has a hope that one day, the same platform might give you $1,000.

I am always following his advice. What I achieved this month is quite good. I am happy with the money I made, even though I can’t buy a cup of Starbucks coffee with it but still I am happy.

The Internet is changed. Now, it is paying people who create and leverage the Internet.

I write a story just for you people to make passive income from your Medium stories by optimizing it for search and Internal traffic.

Marketing Strategy

I have a simple marketing strategy.

I use three types of marketing strategies;

1. I joined five Facebook groups that have the Medium membership following. Share your article there to grow your following.
2. The second marketing strategy is to target traffic from Google search. I write an article about it too, here you can read it; How To Rank Your Medium Posts on Google Search And Gets 100k Traffic
3. The third marketing strategy isn’t marketing but to write and publish more content on Medium. The more content you published, the more the chances that your story will be recommended to someone “Based on Previous reading experience”

Getting your story published on Popular publication and getting curated at the same time is the best thing could happen on Medium as a writer.

The Best Things About Medium Partner Program

Consider Medium as a big blogging platform where there isn’t just one writer but in thousands. Every writer, write about a specific niche. I write about Blogging and Digitial Marketing. In the same way, there are many writers on Medium who write about Blogging but the ratio is very low.

Don’t just write, don’t just write about the things trended on Medium but instead write about things you are interested in.

Remember one thing.

Even shit sells on the Internet, literally.
