My First Month at Medium

Here’s my story on earning $5.95

I began my journey with Medium in December 2021.

Two weeks after joining as a new member, I got accepted into the Medium Partner Program.

I had no idea what to do at first.

I just knew that I wanted to incorporate writing into my daily routine. Since spending so much more time at home, I grew a love for writing and content creation.

Medium naturally became the perfect opportunity for me to follow my passions.

As a new writer, I did not expect to earn much money. I read how difficult it was. Most writers were lucky to make anything above $50.

I decided that I would declare myself successful if I could earn more than $5 a month on the platform.

I checked my earnings every day. It was looking so optimistic! On the first day, I accumulated 18 cents. I was beyond ecstatic. Then, I watched the number go up each day.

Little by little. Slowly but surely.

Even if I had made $1, I would be just as happy.

It’s how I can share my passions through words on a screen.
