My Favorite Quote
In response to 4 of 52 Dancing Elephants Challenge

I have been thinking about it for a while. What would be the best quote to use for this prompt. Originally, I was thinking of some of the quotes from Hungary that my grandmother used to say. When I would try how they are sounded with the English translation it was just not the same. It lost the edge to it, why the saying was significant.
One of them was “Aki koran kell aranyat lel” — the translation would be “The one who wakes up early find a pot of gold”.
It sounds lost in translation the catchy edge of the saying is missing. The basic notion is that is you get up early you can get a lot of things done. My grandmother always was up early and breakfast and sometimes lunch was ready before we even woke up. The saying comes from a folk heritage in Hungary. The picture below is one of the last time's I got to spend time with my grandmother.

Back to the now. This morning it finally hit me. A message that one of my favorite people sends out all the time. It will be a perfect quote.
I attended many of her sessions and classes and watched her videos. I introduced her to the Medium community in this article.
I decided this morning to make sure this is the quote I want to re-watch the YouTube video she put out about this notion. Once I watched again, I was sure. The message Maren sends out is that each person is unique and beautiful gift just the way they are.
My favorite quote from her is:
“You are enough, just as you are” Maren Muter
I think this message is beautiful. It is easy to think that we need to do more or please some other person or company or society in some way. This simple sentence highlights the idea that we are perfect the way we are. No effort needed to become more as our paths will lead where we meant to be. Maren closes her video saying that
“I think you are beautiful. I think you are wonderful just as you are”. Maren Muter
Let me know what you think about these quotes and how they resonate with you. Say it out loud, let it sit. You are beautiful. You are enough, just as you are. When I say these words it makes me smile. It makes me feel good.
There is so much pressure in this world to look a certain way, act a certain way. This quote feels kind and accepting to me. Just as I am: I am enough. I am beautiful. I am wonderful. And just as you are, you are enough. You are beautiful. You are wonderful.
You can watch Maren’s You Tube video below. I had watched this video many times, it always makes me feel good.
