My Favorite Medium Reads This Week
Curating a collection of gems I’ve stumbled upon lately

Lately, I’ve gotten addicted to Medium, which means I’ve spent a lot of time digging through articles. It’s really incredible the gems of insight that you can find on this platform!
Here are a few of my favorite articles I’ve stumbled upon recently:
In this article, Maya Sayvanova talks about how one of her first 20 articles went viral and earned her 2k. As a result, she stopped trying and it took her months to build back up to over $100. She provides an honest, transparent look at the lessons she learned from this experience.
In this article, Ibad Roshan🦋 takes us through the history of Singapore and its rise from a poor, underrated part of Malaysia in 1965, to one of the richest countries in the world in 2023. The catalyst was one man who provided incredible leadership that transformed a barren swamp land into a thriving example of success. There are a ton of great lessons packed into this transformation we can all learn from.
A self-professed introvert, Eric LaShun provides an insightful glimpse into some of the strengths that come from being an introvert in a sea of extroverts. More perceptive than your typical list, it will really make you appreciate the introverts in your life and embrace your own introverted tendencies.
I enjoyed quite a few of J.W. Kinsman’s articles but this one really stood out to me. It talks about the importance of self-respect, but not like your typical self-help article. J.W. is honest and vulnerable about how he started searching for answers, and he provides a genuinely helpful exercise to gain insight into what you respect in life, and how you can cultivate it within yourself.
To anyone who’s ever experienced unrequited love, Ken Li’s article really hits you hard. A sweet, and heartfelt tribute to his lifelong friend, Ken show’s why rejection can lead to unexpected lessons and beautiful friendships.
One of the best articles on Marketing I’ve found on Medium, Dave Schools’ case study on the brand Liquid Death will transform the way you view product marketing. Packed full of invaluable and insightful lessons, Dave shares his handbook for founders, marketers, and startups wanting to take their branding and entrepreneurship to the next level.
Speaking of marketing, I would be remiss not to include one of my own articles on this list as well. This humorous take on the “I made $10k this month” articles will hopefully encourage other writers like me, who are just starting out. It’s an expectation reset to provide realistic benchmarks on this platform.
Thanks for reading! I will try to continue this series as my Medium addiction slowly consumes my life. What’s your favorite article you’ve read on Medium lately? Feel free to share in the comments and I’ll check it out!
