My extraterrestrial abductions story, Part 3

That unforgettable night…
I remember it so vividly I can still recall what I had for supper that night and at what time. Yet, I can barely remember what I had for supper just 3 days ago.
I had finally got my house back from my ex. It was now solely in my name and I had decided to move back there, even if it was an hour drive from work. The perks? It was a log home, just a 15 minutes walk from a private beach. Quietly nested in the beautiful Eastern Shore of Atlantic Canada, my property was surrounded by salt waters marshes, which gave sights to otters crashing mussels on their chests, cranes at a stand still in the waters, patiently waiting to catch their next meal. The sunsets and sunrises were epic and sometimes at night, I could hear coyotes, which always made me smile. I may not have had the conveniences of city life, but what I got to enjoyed just looking straight out of the living room, which boasted 2 giant floor to ceiling windows and a patio door in-between, was a dream come true. I loved it so much, I never bothered putting curtains up. If I had to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, I would always go look at the night sky. Away from city light, the Northern Hemisphere is quite the spectacle. Living alone in nature to me wasn’t a lifestyle, it was a vocation. Nature was both my church and my religion. I didn’t need anything else.
I am now in my early thirties and have a new boyfriend who comes and visits. I will obviously keep most of these details to myself, as to respect his privacy, but he was a nice guy and treated me really well. He was a die hard foodie and expanded my culinary knowledge way beyond amateur level. But my weird ‘’symptoms’’ were still happening. Night sweats, bouts of low key depression and slowly but surely, increasing apathy.
Then one night… That night where I still remember what I had for supper. It was a Halifax explosion burger from Pete’s Frootique. I don’t know if they still make them, but you could buy pre-made patties to cook at home, which we did. They were called Halifax explosion because they were really spicy, and delicious. I remember we had them later in the evening. Definitely past 8 o’clock but before 9pm for sure. We then went to bed later that night. I fell asleep, then woke up, PARALYZED.
I couldn’t move my legs, nor my hands or arms. I could barely move my head and when I looked to my side of the bed, there it was. Standing right next to me, an extraterrestrial. It had the typical grey head with big black almond eyes. His flawless skin, devoid of any blemishes, pigmentation or wrinkles gave him a peculiar CGI filter effect. I tried to fucking scream at the top of my lungs but no sound was coming out. Vocal cords? Also paralyzed…
I remember looking into his big black eyes, asking him to please not move or even blink, because if he did, it would be all too real and I wouldn’t be able to handle it. I managed to move my head a little bit to look at my boyfriend, and here he was, sound asleep. Then something strange caught my eyes…
At the foot of my bed, there were like 2 white translucent beings. They didn’t have any distinct features like eyes, nose or even clothes. All I could see was their outlines. And next to them was a similar being, but it’s almost like only half of him had made it through. And to add more to this already confusing scenario there was a pink portal in the right end corner of my bed. It looked like a miniature galaxy.
Now all of this was happening rather fast yet I somehow, through the sheer panic of it all, started to gather my thoughts. I was working construction at the time, repairing warships and submarines for the Department of National Defense. I was a logical person after all, therefore there had to be a logical explanation for this nonsense. Before I am literally seeing an extraterrestrial standing right next to me doesn’t have to mean that there is, in fact, an extraterrestrial standing right next to me, right?
I remembered reading about sleep paralysis. How sometimes people would wake up paralyzed in the middle of the night and see weird things. I ate a spicy burger later in the evening after all. So I concluded that my brain somehow got confused. So I had woken up paralyzed, like we normally are when in a certain sleeping cycle, so we don’t hurt ourselves acting out our dreams, and was therefore dreaming awake. That had to be the only explanation. So I calmed down and went right back to sleep.
Then next morning I told my boyfriend I had really strange dreams but gave no details. His reply was, yeah, last night was weird. And we never spoke about it again.
So I moved on with my life, not realizing my worst nightmare had only begun…
to be continued.
