My earnings to date — 5 weeks in
Follow my story
I cannot believe my earnings; I am gobsmacked, to be honest; I have now been writing on medium for around five weeks and published six articles. I have been inspired by so many people and have met two real connections so far on my journey.
I have reached out to several publications and have been rejected by all of them except one, I will let you know who that is further down this page.
My following has grown from zero to eight followings during this time and I am grateful for every single person who reads my publications, I sincerely hope we all grow together and find plenty of enjoyment in that process.
Publications
I have attempted to submit my work to several publications, all without a response. I am not knocking them, of course, they receive probably hundreds of articles each day, however that does not help me.
I think what we all want is some direction, of course, there are a few things we can do to improve, the option I chose, and what I would recommend is to research what each publication is looking for from you as an individual and what type of content they are looking for you to write.
I want to give a big shout-out to Benny Lim for accepting me as a writer to his publication https://medium.com/writers-blokke I hope some of my articles will be published there soon.
This is an up-and-coming publication, so I would recommend it to any new members of the medium platform, “Writers Blokke” appear to give you at least a chance to write for them, I will update you on my progress with them during my future publications.
My earnings
Well, wait for it, I know you have probably already seen the picture!
I have earned $0.12 so far, now this for me is significant, the fact that people are reading what I write, and now members have also started to look at my work is very flattering and encourages me to write some more.
My next target
I can see a bright future and look forward to reaching my next target of $1.00 and reaching 25 followers, this is what dreams are made of.
