My 7 Go-To macOS Apps For You to Get More Done Everyday
Finally, I found the perfect combination of macOS apps.
Whenever I see a list of the “Best macOS applications,” I want to slam my head against a wall since the suggested applications are nearly the ones I already used.
I appreciate the recommendation, but there’s no need for an “expert” to tell me to use Chrome, Slack, or VLC Player.
I relish routinely downloading and experimenting with new applications. But unfortunately, I deleted several of them since none of them passed my sniffing test for effectiveness.
I’m only giving you the ones that have managed to stay in my Launchpad/Applications folder.

1. iA Writer.
This list’s first program is a well-known writing tool that, with its distraction-free workspace, pushes the boundaries of simplicity.
This minimalist tool is a genuine blessing for all authors, especially those who frequently write, as it streamlines the transfer of thoughts from your mind to the page.
iA Writer should be a staple in every writer’s toolkit since it is straightforward yet effective, facilitates quick writing and formatting, and is generally enjoyable.
First, it’s markdown-compatible, a massive boon for efficient writing. It is a beautiful program to acquire for virtually any writing work because it is also quite affordable.
2. Simplenote.
Don’t be fooled by the app’s name; the only easy part of using Simplenote is choosing to do so.
Simplenote claims to integrate seamlessly into your workflow regardless of your writing, with a synchronizing and categorization system that can compete with the most potent note-takers available.
The surprisingly powerful tool prioritizes efficiency and speed, providing a simple, lightweight user interface that allows you to easily navigate between your notes, organize your ideas, and locate items buried beneath a sea of text fragments.
3. HUSH.
The internet is a great resource. But it’s becoming more and more overrun with intrusive cookies and tracking that no average person can comprehend.
Hush prevents obnoxious “accept cookies” prompts from appearing in Safari by blocking the browser’s cookie acceptance pop-ups.
To accomplish the same task in Chrome or Firefox, you may utilize add-ons like uBlockOrigin.
4. Imageoptim.
I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve had to reduce the size of a picture file to fit some constraints.
Good illustrations: A PNG file must be under 2MB in size for upload to our CMS or YouTube.
I use ImageOptim to shrink the file instead of opening Photoshop and resizing it. I’m not sure where I originally heard about this, but it has proven helpful.
5. MindNode.
If you spend a lot of time thinking, then MindNode is your app.
There is no better location to record the thoughts that recur daily in a thinker’s head. Your ideas are recorded by the app, which you may review afterward.
The tool doesn’t have a set format. However, words, pictures, links, and notes are reasonable means of mental note-taking and storage.
Diagrams and mind maps may also be used to arrange things in a hierarchical form. The maps can also be personalized with stickers or original artwork.
