My 5 Favorite Chrome Extensions for Productivity
This might work for you too.
Time wastage is a nationwide epidemic: 69 percent of Americans confess to procrastinating at work, and 31% admit squandering an hour or more days at work.
Your web browser can be your best friend or worst enemy when getting things done. Unfortunately, it usually succeeds in being both at the same time.
The same portal that provides fast access to a research arena, expert opinions, Google Documents, and email also provides constant temptations on Insta, YouTube, Reddit, and email.
But, for better or worse, it’s a tool that most of us can’t imagine living (or working) without.
The perfect Chrome Extensions can help you avoid the most distracting aspects of the internet while reaping all its benefits.
There are thousands of addons in the Chrome store, ranging from the ridiculous to the quite useful.
I’ve compiled a list of the top 5.
1. Momentum
This is the Chrome productivity addon that I use the most. It replaces Google Chrome’s dull new tab page with daily-changing inspirational photographs, brief productivity quotes, and an integrated to-do list for the day.
I particularly like the ability to establish a daily main focus, reminding me of what’s most essential for my day whenever I open up a new Chrome browser window.
2. RescueTime
If you aren’t tracking your productivity, it won’t be easy to enhance it consistently.
Fortunately, RescueTime makes it simple to keep track of the time spent in the background on websites and programs.
I use RescueTime to set productivity objectives.
The statistics and charts it generates help determine which websites and apps are squandering my time so I can better control my attention.
3. Pocket
Pocket allows you to store information on your iPhone, iPad easily, or Android smartphone to bookmark.
It’s lovely for saving distracting information to read later and even downloading content so you can watch it offline if you’re flying for a long time.
Buffer is also an excellent alternative if you want to swiftly share your reading stuff to keep your social media accounts updated with new content.
4. OneTab
Consolidate all of your tabs into a single tab to help you focus and avoid being sidetracked by all the open tabs that are eating your battery when you’re on the go.
When you’re on a trip and freelancing digitally in a coffee shop or coworking space, this Chrome extension can help you save battery life on your laptop.
5. ClickUp
ClickUp is a project management tool that helps you and your team stay on track. The ClickUp Chrome extension is just as effective as the ClickUp app.
It allows you to bookmark web pages and take and edit screenshots of any website, among other things.
It also allows you to create new projects, attach emails to them, and track how much time you and your colleagues spend on the internet.
Conclusion
Hundreds of other excellent Chrome extensions will help you be more productive.
Some are better than others, but what will enhance your productivity the greatest will not be found in another Chrome extension.
It’s referred to as self-discipline.
But, while we’re on Chrome Extensions for boosting productivity, What extensions did I overlook? What are your go-to Chrome add-ons?
