Moving from Fear to Joy

Day 73: Stepping up the emotional scale brings us new experiences

A cleansing, cooling rain came down last night. The air feels fresher. The plants and trees are quenched of their thirst. Joy is in the air. Each time I look outside the window, I can’t help but smile. Our beloved Oregon rain has come to shine upon us. I feel a lightness in my heart that shines through. Each day that has passed, I have let go of fears that once held a tight grip on me. It feels as if this rain is clearing away even more emotions that I needed to let go of. Each day I take one step on my 100-day spiritual journey, exploring the book Letting Go by David R. Hawkins. The more I let go, the more beautiful life becomes.

Fear of life is really the fear of emotions. It is not the facts that we fear but our feelings about them. Once we have mastery over our feelings, our fear of life diminishes. We feel a greater self-confidence, and we are willing to take greater chances because now we feel that we can handle the emotional consequences, whatever they may be. -David R. Hawkins

I am so grateful that I am learning how to let go of the past, of emotions I had a tight grip on. This has allowed me to keep moving up the emotional scale, back up to joy. When we let go of those emotions, we also let go of fear. Fear no longer dictates who we are or what we are capable of anymore. We are free to be ourselves.

Yesterday I had the beautiful experience of helping a client on a zoom call. It was amazing how freely the conversation flowed. I spent most of the call just listening. I found that there were only a few questions I needed to ask, and the solutions came to me without a struggle. I was able to help her take the first steps on a project in her home. I just let the conversation flow. It felt so natural to me. I felt as though all of the work I had done this week on letting go of fear had culminated in being able to help someone.

As we consistently let go of resisting our fears and allow them to be surrendered, the energy that was tied up in the fear is relinquished and now becomes available to shine forth as the energy of love. -David R. Hawkins

This energy of love and joy is one that is always available to us. Making surrender a part of our daily practice frees us to feel more joy in our hearts. In turn, when we let go of fear, we have more love to give. I am grateful for this journey because it has taught me the process of letting go. Each day I feel lighter. I feel free. I feel an abundance of love that I want to share with others.

My prayer and my intention for you is that you let go of the fear that is stopping you from experiencing more joy in your life. When you let go of the fear you will feel an amazing bright light within your heart. It was there all along, but letting go allows it to shine.

What fear can you let go of today?
