LITERARY IMPULSE PROMPT/MINI-SAGA

Morning Blues

Oh, the beauty of Blueness!

White-wisped blue Sky, bad news for the drought, quenches her thirst for Beauty. Only sipping her second cup of coffee does she see Moon — transparent, white as the wisps, waning — through Tree’s leafless branches.

She looks away. Tree beckons.

Two jays — impossibly blue.

Is this why Sky is so pale?

A mini-saga — a short piece of 50 words — prompted by William J Spirdione’s Muse.

Thank you, Somsubhra Banerjee, for the fun fiction prompts. Albeit mine was sparked by a Real moment.

Thank you, team at Literary Impulse — Nachi Keta, Priyanka Srivastava, Elisabeth Khan — for challenging me and the Muse. Keep those challenges coming, please. It was fun!

And thank you, dearest readers, for gazing out the window with me.
