Moon Phase Meanings in Moonology
Phases of the Moon and their meanings

Moonology is about working with the magic of the moon through its lunar cycles. It has been around for ages, but my teachings come from Yasmin Boland, author and creator, who shares her wisdom through numerous books and Oracle cards. Becoming a certified moonologer through her program is a great honor. I have always loved the moon! Its magic is enchanting, and it is one of the 3 components of my spiritual belief. — The sun, the moon, and the stars are the constant in my life. Even when I can’t see them, I know they are always there.
Moon phases and the role they play
New Moon — It’s the time to set intentions and make a solid commitment to them.
Waxing Crescent Moon — this is when we put actions into those intentions. This is the gas pedal phase, as I call it.
First Quarter Moon — recommit to your vision as challenges may surface.
Gibbous Moon — ahh.. the time of emotions for or against you. For me, this is when my mindfulness practice comes into play. No judgments.
Full Moon — Midway point of the cycle. You can see subtle hints if your intentions are manifesting. This is the time for forgiveness and questions to ask yourself. This is the growth mindset phase for me.
Disseminating Moon — we move into the waning cycle. Time to process and release what is no longer needed.
Third Quarter Moon — Let it go! Allow what didn’t work to be set on a shelf and free yourself from the burden of forcing it.
Balsamic Moon — Powerful healing occurs after letting go. It makes room for a bit of serenity.
Dark Moon — This is when we can see what we released and it clears the vision for the next new moon's intentions.

Working with moonology is about working with our feelings. That is what the moon represents in Astrology, after all. People often intermix manifesting with the Law of Attraction. Confusion comes when they don’t align their feelings with their written intentions.
Living the mindful lifestyle, for me, is the awareness of how I want to feel, how I feel in the present moment, and what judgment do I need to release to get to that feeling?
