Moments of Awe

POMprompt#22 response: What’s Out Your Window

Photo-K.Barrett, author

Hurriedly hopping through the evening, having rushed through the day, already preparing for another.

Looking out back, the sun looking in, asking, Do you have a moment, a moment for awe?

An opportunity almost skipped as I hurriedly went, on my way.

Luckily, I paused, to take it in, a healthful, moment of awe.

A mix of clouds and light, filtering through the trees. What a wonder. What a special surprise.

Just for me. Needed, enjoyed, cherished and carried, until the next, moment of awe.

Looking out front, the moon looking back, asking, Do you have a moment, a moment for awe?

What a sight to see, as bright as could be, illuminating the clouds, lightening the night.

In the morning, looking out front, the sun peaked in, saying, Good morning! All awe in that moment, no mourning the eve.

Again, looking out back, the moon looking in, wishing, Good day, more awe on the way!
