  • By practicing mindful awareness continually throughout the day, we can avoid heedlessness whilst maintaining balance, peace and harmony.
  • Watching and training the mind at all times, being aware of what it is doing and why, is of the utmost importance. By checking up on our thoughts we can safeguard our speech and actions. Through maintaining equanimity and awareness we remain heedful and can benefit ourselves and others whilst also moving forward with our practice.

“We can either operate with mindfulness which keeps us safe or with ignorance which causes us suffering.”

  • Try to practice mindful awareness throughout the day, keeping the mind on the right track and trying hard not to let moods or aversion to external distractions arise. If they do, don’t let them in. Guard the gates to the mind well, be strong and resolute.

May this teaching lead you to happiness; may it help you grow in truth. May you be freed from the suffering of birth and death.
