Poetry Prompt Milk Friendship

sometimes we are the milk we find others — tea leaves — a refreshing relation — milkiness preserved

sometimes we are the milk we find them — coffee beans — magical combo happens — milkiness preserved

sometimes we are the milk we let them — acidic stuff — pollutes us — milkiness compromised

sometimes we are the milk but we give them — takers or suckers — we leave drained — milkiness lost

sometimes we need to be the pot that holds what is in it without self-blaming or self-judging for our own good so we can self-heal and learn
