Mid-Week Motivation
Writing prompts to get you through the week
Hey kids! So I wanted to try something and see what you all think. I want to do a mid-week prompt post with a few new things I haven’t done before. Just a little something to help get those creative juices flowing.
A very talented writer on our site, Jann Christoph von der Pütten, gave me an excellent idea for using visual images.
His post showcased many photos he’d taken himself, which made me want to try it. I love visual prompts. Jann’s picture of the Fairy Gate sparked something in me that Jann himself hadn’t even seen.
Another site I’ve enjoyed writing for is 100 Images, though they haven’t posted a new photo since March. J.A. Taylor, if you’re reading this, I miss you guys. The premise is that all submissions use the same image. It’s harder not adding a photo to my piece than it is coming up with the story idea. LOL
For now, I’ll be adding various images I find around the web (from either free sites or with permission from the photographer). I might add a few I’ve taken myself. I’m not a great photographer, but I do live in some very pretty country.
With this being our first time, I promise to be gentle. I’ll only post a couple of pics for now. Who knows, this may lead to more ideas in the coming months. It’s almost Autumn. My favorite time of year.
So, let’s see where this thing goes. I’ve always said that some of my ideas are really good, and some are really bad. I never know unless I try.

Okay, kids. I’ll leave it at that for now. I’ll work this out and come up with a more refined idea. My goal here at Enticing the Muse is to keep you all writing and inspired.
As always, if you publish something from one of these prompts, please tag me (@sapheyerblu) so I can come by and check it out. If you’re looking for a home for your prompt responses, check out our sister site, Amusing Responses.
If you submit something to AR, please make sure to leave a link back to this post and add the appropriate tags; “Fiction”, “Poetry”, or “Creative Non-Fiction”.
I hope this gets you inspired and that we can make this a weekly thing.
Until next time, Happy Writing!!!
