Microsoft wants to integrate ChatGPT into Office Software
How Microsoft wants to make AI usable for their Office Users

Don’t worry, not another article about how great ChatGPT is, this has been said often enough. But for Microsoft and Azure users the following news might be very interesting. Just a few days ago rumor said that Microsoft plans to integrate ChatGPT into its search engine Bing in order to attack the market leader Google.
Now reports are making the round that Microsoft’s plans go even further. According to the report, the integration into Office applications is also planned [1].
The possibilities of use here are certainly diverse, from improved search for mails, to automatically generated mail. The writing of work instructions in Word or even the analysis of numbers. ChatGPT has already shown that it can also generate source code, wouldn’t it be cool to have dashboards and reports automatically generated by ChatGPT in Power BI? That would certainly be another step in the direction of the data-driven enterprise. Microsoft is already following the path of integrating Power BI into its Office products.
So, it remains to be seen what Microsoft has in mind, but the possibilities are certainly diverse. It is also unclear when this integration will take place, since ChatGPT is currently still in a test phase. It will also be interesting to see how the direct competitor Google, which is similarly positioned on the market with its Google Suite and cloud services, will react.
