Summary

Tejdeep Kaur presents a personal Tanka poem titled "Melody of Life" in response to a writing prompt on 'Perform', and invites other poets to contribute to a Never-Ending poem prompt with the new topic "Camouflage".

Abstract

The website features a creative piece by Tejdeep Kaur, who has composed a Tanka poem named "Melody of Life." This poem is a response to a writing prompt on the theme of 'Perform' given by someone named Dennett. Kaur expresses a sense of loss and chaos, encouraging the reader to embrace their inner artist and find hope through performance. The article also includes a photograph by Hudson Hintze, sourced from Unsplash, which visually complements the poem's theme. Additionally, Kaur links to another poem of hers, "Only One," which was written in response to a prompt about sunsets. In an effort to continue the poetic exchange, Kaur tags ten other poets and challenges them to write on the topic of "Camouflage," asking them to tag ten more poets each, thus perpetuating the Never-Ending poem prompt. The piece concludes with a friendly exhortation to have fun and a copyright notice asserting Kaur's ownership of the content.

  • Tejdeep Kaur appreciates the writing prompt provided by Dennett, finding the process of writing in response to it enjoyable.
  • Kaur values the continuation of the poetic dialogue, as evidenced by her tagging of ten poets and the request to tag more, keeping the Never-Ending poem prompt alive.
  • The inclusion of a photograph by Hudson Hintze suggests that Kaur sees visual art as complementary to her written work, enhancing the overall impact of her poem.
  • Kaur's use of a Tanka, a traditional form of Japanese poetry, indicates a respect for and interest in poetic traditions.
  • The friendly tone ("Have fun guys! :") and the invitation to participate in the writing prompt reflect Kaur's inclusive and community-oriented approach to poetry.
  • The copyright notice at the end of the article asserts Kaur's pride in her work and her intention to protect her intellectual property.
