On Sunday, February 21, Quora’s Israel-Palestine peace community Unity is Strength is holding a Zoom meet and greet. The Medium community is invited. You can get to meet some of Quora’s prominent writers about the topic and learn a bit about us.

The open Zoom call will start at 10 AM Pacific time/1 PM New York time/8 PM Jerusalem time and will run for an hour and a half. RSVP here.

Immediately after, you are encouraged to join the organization Roots/Shorashim/Judur in its event “How the International Community can help create long-term change in Israel/Palestine.” Here is a description of that event:

The Alliance for Middle East Peace (ALLMEP) is the region’s largest and fastest-growing network of peacebuilders. One of its goals is to help introduce far greater resources to the peacebuilding field, drawing inspiration from how the international community did the very same thing in Northern Ireland, as part of its International Fund for Israeli-Palestinian Peace campaign. As part of that effort, ALLMEP has helped to recently secure passage of the Middle East Partnership for Peace Act (MEPPA) which promises to invest $250 million in peacebuilding over 5 years.

John will lay out how this instrument can help to change the lived reality and political future for Israelis and Palestinians.

John Lyndon is Executive Director of The Alliance for Middle East Peace (ALLMEP).

A regular contributor and commentator on events in the Middle East, his writing has featured in numerous international publications, including Newsweek and TIME Magazine, and he is a frequent analyst on the BBC, CNN, France 24, and Sky News.

John is also a Visiting Fellow at King’s College London’s Department of Middle Eastern Studies.
