So the world stood still, Let lockdown commence. I have nothing to do, I could paint the fence.

But no, I decided, To earn a quick buck. And become a great poet, I might have some luck.

So I sat down and studied, With coffee on the go. To find the best outlet, For poetry, you know!

And top of the list, Ahead of its game. There popped up Medium, You all know it’s the name.

So many publications, I didn’t know which. One’s to subscribe too, I got a nervous twitch!

Out of the many, I handpicked a few. And started to write, And break for the loo.

19 days of toil, And fights with the wife. I wonder if it’s worth, The added trouble and strife.

But I’ll keep on going, Even if it’s a chore. To get all the readers, And followers galore.

So I’ll keep on writing, Even though some are crap. But then you’ve just read this, So scroll down and clap.
