How much medium Pays For 1000 Views.

I usually don’t see my medium stats, but yesterday I was wondering If it even crossed 1000 views. I was lucky to see some interesting figures then.

So, I have completed more than 1000 views on medium and I saw a huge spike at my earnings.

Roughly calculating medium do pay some interesting figure to there writers who are passionate to write.

I completed my 1000 views on 4th July, I started my medium journey on 17th June. I got lucky over here. Within 20 days I completed more than 1000 views. Reminder for all, I started with zero views and zero followers. And Yes, I use my nickname on medium. So, none of my friends and family members actually follow me on medium.

Lets, calculate. I gained 255 views after 5th July. So, lets see my total earnings from 17th June.

Before That, I calculated how much money medium system actually pays for 1 minute of read time.

So, Assuming 1 reader read my article for 1 complete minute. Therefore, I may have received 1000 minutes of read time. Hence, Medium pays me 0.02$ for 1 minute.

Therefore, My earnings for 1000 views should be anywhere around 20$.

But sad Reality, I earned 1.86$ for 300 views and for next 700 views I earned 5$.

Therefore I earned 6.86$ for 1000 views.

Conclusion, Medium actually pays only for time engaged by a reader in your article. Hence, Some readers actually read my articles for less than 1 minute. I can understand that, I usually write short articles which are more beneficial for my readers. For Me, Quality matters more than Quantity. And My readers matter more than money.
