Summary

The undefined website announces the upcoming launch of the Medium Friends Reading Club Newsletter, which aims to provide updates, tips, and networking opportunities for Medium users, particularly those with upgraded "Friends of Medium" accounts, and invites guest writers to contribute.

Abstract

The Medium Friends Reading Club is introducing a newsletter that will serve as a regular update mechanism for Medium users, especially those who have opted for the "Friends of Medium" (FOM) upgraded account status. The newsletter, set to launch on February 4th, 2024, will focus on activities and developments within the FOM community, offering insights into members' stats and earnings, as well as advice on how to engage effectively on the platform. It will be published monthly and is open to all Medium readers and subscribers, not just FOM members. The website also maintains an alphabetized list of over 143 FOM members, which is periodically updated and now accessible on a separate page for convenience. The newsletter's mission is to foster a community of readers who commit to reading and supporting each other's work, thereby benefiting the entire Medium community.

Greetings fellow writers on Medium, both “friends” and “non-friends”, for lack of a better way to put it.

I’ll try to keep this short and sweet, since I already have a nice long list, containing over 100 names of current “friends of Medium” so far.

For your convenience, the list is alphabetized according to the members’ Medium user names.

The members who decide to upgrade to “friend” status on this popular online writing platform, continues to grow more and more every day.

Although that’s a good thing, it’s not so easy trying to keep up with whether or not some of your favorite writers have decided to come on board.

Perhaps my resource page can become like the FOM water cooler, where members can browse, find one another, and begin to network a little better

Hopefully, the list can be helpful, in addition to my next great thing a club NEWSLETTER; for those friends who are serious about reading and supporting one another on a regular basis.

Introducing the Medium Friends Reading Club Newsletter

While I notice that more writers on Medium seem to be joining FOM, I’m also aware that not everyone truly understands how to reap the most benefits from this awesome opportunity.

👉 For instance, simply being a friend, or following a friend, is not effective, when members merely hit and run, without bothering to read, engage, or RETURN.

This is the type of information to be conveyed and discussed in the newsletter.

These following 3 points tell you exactly what MFRC Newsletter will contain:

1️ Everything and anything related to the friends of Medium upgraded account option

2️ What’s going on with various Medium members who upgraded their accounts

3️ Tips, advice, suggestions, hacks, brags, gripes, complaints, and everything else about stats and earnings related to the FOM

👉 The newsletter’s MISSION is to help keep members focused on the primary objective of the MFR club, which is: Committing quality time READING stories on Medium, published by fellow club members, to the benefit of everyone concerned.

📌 Members will also be encouraged to read, discover, and share helpful advice on how to continue supporting everyone in the Medium community, and NOT just those who identify as “friends”.

A monthly newsletter for everyone

Friends and followers, don’t let the name fool you. The Medium Friends Reading Club newsletter is a publication for everyone.

👉 The content and theme is exclusively focused on the subject of FOM, and in particular, the status of club members’ stats and earnings.

📌 However, the monthly newsletter that will be published on the last day of each month, will be available to anyone who reads and subscribes (friend or not 😄).

Rest assured, more details on the newsletter will be released prior to the first issue on January 31, 2024.

Launch date has been changed to Sunday, February 4th, 2024

At this time, I’m reaching out to the current FOM listed below (whether club members or not), and asking that you drop me a note in the comment section, if you’re interested in:

✍ Writing a GUEST ARTICLE for the first, and any succeeding issues.

I will reach out and respond to all requests before the publishing date.
