Friends Reading Club: Publication GUIDELINES When Writing About FOM Favorite Friends!
Do you have favorite FOM members that you want to share a shout out story about?
In an effort to show our support for Friends of Medium (FOM), who don’t currently happen to be fellow club members, this publication has designated a section specifically for those Medium members.
There are clearly thousands of awesome writers on Medium and lots of them have joined FOM. While just a few of them are members of the Medium Friends Reading Club (MFR Club), we still want to help showcase and share their stories.
Stories submitted about FOM — non club members go here:
📌 Club members can submit shout out stories if they want to, or any other style of story that helps to highlight and promote ANY “Friend of Medium” who is NOT a club member.
✅ Favorite Friends — Use the “FOM Shoutouts” TAG
Remember to use the proper tag designation so that it will enable me to properly position your story on the front page.
✅ Utilize this space to submit and/or read stories about lots of other FOM writers on the platform, to help them shine and be seen.
GENERAL GUIDELINES
✅ ALL MFR Club Members have been automatically added as publication writers. There is no need to make a request.
Club members are welcome to submit stories at anytime, however, only two days will be devoted to publishing stories.
📌Stories are Published on: WEDNESDAYS & SUNDAYS
👉 All submissions to the Favorite Friends category must be new stories, submitted in DRAFT format.
👉 Story submissions are not edited and will not be proofread for errors, structure or formatting issues. Each writer’s story earnings will be dependent on their own attention to detail.

Final Thoughts
The FOM option to upgrade has caused lots of controversy within the Medium community.
Although not every writer is in agreement with the perceived benefits of the program, many writers on Medium are seeing their stats and income increase in substantial ways.
Our MFR Club members, with the help of this publication, are determined to show that not only does the FOM program work effectively, but it can help to benefit many more than just a select few.
We look forward to sharing stories about FOM members, whether they belong to our club or not.
