Medium and YOUR statistics — Are They Right? (Updated4 — I got it wrong!)

Medium’s response, and frankly, I don’t understand. I understand the words, but not how these were words fit with my actual experience.
Hi there- Your stats overview page at https://medium.com/me/stats shows the current 30-day period. As that 30-day window progresses through time, the 31st day count is removed from the overall count. So if you had views/reads/fans that have now moved back into the previous 30-day period, their count is removed from that page. You can verify this by clicking the previous 30-day arrow:
The overall count is for the current 30 days only and does not reflect the cumulative count of lifetime views. If you need anything else, please let me know. Thanks, Lucius User Services
I badly misunderstood how our stats work, and recently posted a blog suggesting that the figures provided to us might be wrong, when in fact it was just an error on my part. A good friend Natalie did try to tell me, but I thought that I knew better, so the lesson is always to listen to those who have been around longer than you, and know better. Thanks, Natalie for trying to help.
How do the stats work?
I thought that the stats we see are accumulative, and each day’s views are added to all the other views beforehand, to give you a running total of all the views you have had since you started blogging.
This is wrong.
The totals we see also include views for the last month, and so as it is the 17 March 2023, the total of views shown will show views for approximately half of February.
So, if we talking about February, and a 31-day period, the stats for the 17 March as an accumulative total, include views from the 15 February 2023 to the 17th March.
So, in fact, the month would cover the dates 15 February 2023 to 17 March 2023.
On 17 March 2023 — the dates will range from 15 February to 17 March 2023, and the total of views for 14 February will be taken from the total number of views.
On 18 March 2023 — the dates will range from 16 February to 18 March 2023, and the total of views for 15 February will be taken from the total number of views.
On 19 March 2023 — the dates will range from 17 February to 19 March 2023, and the total of views for 16 February will be taken from the total number of views.
This continues throughout the month so the number of views will always be decreasing for the stats being removed, and at the same time increasing for the new views on the current date.
Gosh, what a strange way to do things!
It would appear that I am failing to understand something that perhaps is fairly fundamental. These are my stats for March so far. I would appreciate any insight that my friends here on Medium can share.
My stats generally for March are less simply because I have not been able to spend as much time on Medium this month to do the things we normally need to do.

Latest Update: On 04/03/2023 lost another 200 views.
I sent a message to Medium questioning my stats (03/03/2023).
On Feb 27, I had 5003 views. On Mar 03, I have 5065 views.
On 14 March 2023, I have 4696 views. If you compare this graph with the graph further below you will see that my Reads and Fans are less than what they were a fortnight ago. If these figures are wrong, it would seem self-evident that whatever payments I have received are probably also understated.

These numbers have been going up and down daily, but never changing much. Although on one day I remember the stats for views were over 5300. This was something like a couple of days ago. Then suddenly it was just over 5000 views again.
It has been the same with my number of followers. They have been going up and down. One day, I stopped updating my responses in the Notification list at a new follower. When I went back to start again on my notifications, that follower and his details had completely disappeared. Now, the last time I looked the entry was back in my Notifications.
The only adequate word that I can use to express my confusion and frustration is GOSH! Others may have a larger vocabulary than me.
According to my overall stats, I have had 62 views in 4 days.
On 28/02/2023 I had 157 views. On 01/03/2023 I had 189 views. On 02/03/2023 I had 121 views
and today,
On 03/03/2023 I have 61 views so far.
That is a total of 528 views in the last 4 days.
That is, I have either had 62 views or 528 views, and my money is on the 528 views.
This means that my stats are not updating and displaying correctly.
Similarly, my followers have also been going up and down, mostly going backward, even though I am attracting new followers each day.
I feel a little like shouting out, and asking what the hell is happening Medium?
Please, dear readers, check and make sure your numbers are not going through the toilet too.
In my blog 27/02/2023 (https://readmedium.com/blogs-my-journey-report-no-7-more-milestones-6214bb2ffc06), I published these numbers:

According to the stats today, I only have 5065 Views, and that is only an increase of 62 views in 4 days.
