About Me: Eric Anthony
I am a happily married father of two boys, a family man, and athlete and a “goofball.”
With that said, I have had a long career in Investment Management.
In my 40’s I switched gears and went back for my Doctorate in Finance so I can teach full time at a University. I did this while I was still working full time, coaching my sons in sports and maintaining a healthy family balance.

Through this experience, I was able to learn a lot about myself and become much more efficient as a person.
To kick things off, I adopted Medium as a new habit, finding both personal enjoyment and a platform to share useful insights with the community.
Looking ahead, I’m eager to broaden my topics, and I hope you’ll find my expanding content enjoyable.
Productivity and Time Management:
So far, most of my writing has been in the productivity field. I’ve mostly posted articles on how to be more efficient with your time. I have honed this skill over the years — and have even met, and was trained by, David Allen — developer of the Getting Things Done program (I may write a post about that in the future). Going forward, I will contribute to this area.
Investing:
My upcoming content will delve deeper into investments, reflecting my career in the field. Among various roles, I specialized in managing portfolios and mitigating risks. While I have a strong background in bonds, I’ll also be offering insights into long-term portfolio management, including 401k strategies and the use of stock options.
Fitness and Nutrition:
As a former athlete, I am also a Fitness and Nutrition enthusiast. I don’t hold any certifications but through dedicated research and a fair share of trial and error, I’m excited to share not only what has proven effective for me but also to offer reliable resources for your journey in this realm.
Learning and Teaching:
During my PhD journey, I navigated a demanding schedule — balancing a 14-hour workday, family commitments, and dedicating 40 hours a week to schoolwork. This experience not only honed my study habits but also crucially shaped my approach to learning. Once I became a Professor, I work had at delivering the content to my students in the best way possible to help them develop and learn.
In Closing:
I look forward to expanding my topic sets and hope all of you enjoy the content and find it helpful.
