I was reading on Medium yesterday and ran across some beautiful pieces that I had read before, like a month ago.

This writer's beautiful stories only had 50 claps 👏🏼that I alone had given them. That’s a load of Ka-ka!

This writer had just commented on my piece “The word “Fuck.” Where did it come from?” story which I had written on March, 26th. So I read their stuff.

So I started thinking. Did this person want more readers than little ole me? When I start thinking, brace yourself. I just want to be very specific.

OK — IT’S TIME FOR MORE READS OR VIEWS? — HERE’S HOW, NO BS! —

So just write a story, poem, or whatever. Publish it. THEN…

Try this ASAP, after it’s published, go read as many other writers’ work as you can. Then follow if you haven’t yet, clap 50 times, comment if you can or at least highlight. I try to do both comment and highlight.

Do it for as many writers as you can. 20 for sure. 100 if you can. It works like crazy! I promise! Your veiws will go up.

I have had people respond to this advice saying, it’s not working for them. This is why I am being annoyingly specific. JUST FRIGGIN’ DO IT — TODAY! —

Just remind people you are out there! There are roughly 175,000 writers on Medium. So comment.

That is you, just saying, knock-knock, I’m here reading your work, check mine out!

The next subject…responding to comments. When you get a comment, an email pops into your inbox. When you respond, an email pop’s in your reader's email inbox.

The result is, that you get to know each other. You will start hitting back and forth, thus you are Medium Partners.

If you comment on my story, it may take a couple of days to respond. Forgive me. On March 31st, I published, “I died 4 years ago today. My Death Anniversary. They brought me back…”.

IMPORTANT… IMPORTANT…IMPORTANT…The other day, one story had 248 comments for me to respond to.

Every time we respond to a comment, we are using up a comment.

That day I had to take a break because I ran out of comments, so I could no longer respond to comments cuz I was out of comments.

IMPORTANT…When responding to comments, Medium tells you when you are out of comments. A message pops up, saying, “You can no longer comment at this time.”

A GREAT PROBLEM TO HAVE. I HOPE YOU HAVE THIS PROBLEM!

I have had 643 views on that story, over 6 thousand claps, and have HUNDREDS of comments to respond to. As I said, I am blessed.

That is why I am sharing this with you now. Just paying it forward.

👉🏽Next, the subject: Medium is like a snowball. If you stay steady as it rolls and grows bigger.

In February 2021, I made 3 cents on Medium. I did not save that email. Then it grew and in July I did $25.53. Then a lightbulb went on! 💡 I got serious!

December 2021 my snowball had rolled and grown. I made $540.00! 🎄 Merry Christmas! I was steady.

So when I say that it works, I am not bullshitting. It works. 🎁My gift to you.

Right now I have 276 stories published. They are out there with keywords, and people find them and read them. Medium members.

So, as you bank more stories over time, more random reads will come in. People who are only readers who may not clap. comment or highlight. Those will add up!
