Medium $500 a month goal. The snowball is growing!

I started this crazy quest on September 1st, 2021. We can do this 100% for sure!

This is an older story I did in 2021. I am re-pinning it today because it worked. In Dec of 2021 I got there!

Why do I use the snowball analogy?

Because if we set a course and stick by it. this Medium writing thing will be like a snowball rolling down a hill. It will get bigger and roll faster.

This month, October, I will make at least $300. (Maybe $500.)

This was one month doing this quest to find out if we can make money on Medium.

This ain’t no joke.

I have been keeping track of the daily totals and they are on the rise, so I want to share them with you guys.

At a glance, this may look kinda boring but this is to show you that the numbers will grow if you stay on course. Exciting stuff!

JUST STAY FOCUSED.

You don’t have to go crazy as I did. I had a grueling schedule.

WRITE. EAT. SLEEP. so we can all find out as fast as possible that it truly can be done. Medium is a viable way to make money.

I wanted to prove that we can make $500 a month. (I think in theory, I all ready have. By October 31st or before, we will know.) The clock is ticking so it’s only a matter of weeks.

Just do a simple program.

Write, of course, but you have to do more to succeed. Your stuff has to be seen. Let’s call it “Marketing.”

Right now your largest audience is the people on Medium. Some members are solely read, but most members write, so you need to get out there and meet your fellow writers.

My schedule is:

First thing in the morning, check the stats and my email. If someone reads one of my pieces and comments or highlighted it, I open their Medium, follow them, read their work, comment, and clap. As you grow, this will take some time when you really start growing.

For me, that part is 2 to 4 hours a day.

It seems to be working. Not only am I seeing the vast amount of writing styles out there, but I am making friends.

Then I write. A Win-win! I love my job.

After doing this schedule for a while it gets easier.

Don’t get discouraged. Just do your thing and rock this Medium thing!!!!!!

I wrote a piece in August called, “Awe, She’s trying to write.” People just appease me. So cute.

I say, screw the nay-sayers! We got this!

But then what? What next?

The next goal is $1000 a month. $33.33 a day. Can we do it? Do you really have to ask? Of course!

If I make too much money I will lose my disability. Free medical and because I am disabled I need free medical. Quite a quandary. Worst scenario, I may have to eventually pump the breaks. WE’LL SEE.

So who is this Jan Sebastian writer chick?

I had a stroke so I am disabled…well in some ways. I can’t walk or talk well but I’m a writing MO-FO! Kickin’ serious ass!

Below is my silly stroke therapy video. The focus on my face is hilarious! A crazy-ass redhead who is not at all normal and proud of it. I love people and love helping them. Unconventional seems right. Fearless and focused.
