May’s Fourth Week Prompt of Lifeline
Greetings poets,
I hope you all had a fun weekend. I am here with the last prompt of May.
This week’s theme is “Nature”.
One of the best gifts that God provided to all of us is nature. From the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the food we eat, we are constantly dependent on nature for survival. It is a significant part of our life. The value of nature is priceless.
Nature gives us a shelter to live, medicines to heal, and materials. Nature is beautiful because it is alive, moving, reproductive, and makes our life exciting.
“This grand show is eternal. It is always sunrise somewhere; the dew is never all dried at once; a shower is forever falling; vapor is ever rising. Eternal sunrise, eternal sunset, eternal dawn and gloaming, on sea and continents and islands, each in its turn, as the round earth rolls.” — John Muir, naturalist and author, in John of the Mountains: The Unpublished Journals of John Muir
Nature is constantly working to make this life keep going on worldwide. It never stops working. It keeps moving and inspires all of us to keep moving until we reach our destination.
Despite knowing the importance of nature, we still are not able to protect it. We have to spread more awareness to save our precious nature because it is the foundation of all civilization.
For me, nature is something that provides me peace of mind. The beauty of nature always excites me and boosts my creativity. Every element of nature has so many lessons to teach us. We can gain so many important life lessons just by observing nature closely.
“Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature’s peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of autumn.” — John Muir in The Mountains of California. Quotes about sunshine are some of our favorite nature quotes.
When you spend some alone time in nature, it reduces anger, fear, and stress and increases pleasant feelings. Nature has a great impact on our wellness. When I found myself in the pain I always take the help of nature because no one else heals better than nature. It helps me to reconnect with myself.
Have you ever imagined a life without nature? No trees, no lakes, no mountains, no flowers, no seasons, nothing. Life will be meaningless and boring. There is no life without nature.
In addition to that, we have to save nature for our future generations. So, protect the environment and inspires others to protect it.
So, this week’s prompt is,
If you were a part of nature, what element would you be? Why? Write a poem inspired by any element of nature?
I would like to invite all the poets of Lifeline.
