MAY WRITING EXPERIENCE INTRO
May Writing Experience; A Month-Long Writing Growth Challenge
Come and join Fiddleheads & Floss Poetry and Sky Collection Publications for a May Medium Writers Growth Challenge.

Welcome to the May Writing Experience.
Two Medium pubs are collaborating for a month-long writing experience, complete with Medium challenges to nourish your writing growth as well as your professional growth here on Medium. Who should join us? I am glad you asked.
- New Medium writers who are still learning the ropes here at Medium.
- Poets, creative writers, novelists, essayists, bloggers, SEO and science writers, finance writers, technical writers, and basically anyone who puts pen to paper or fingertips to keyboard and writes. If you write regularly or want it to become a bigger part of your life — you are in the right place.
- Anyone who wants to grow their reach and influence here on Medium.
- Writers who are struggling to find or who have lost touch with their writer’s voice.
- Any writer here on Medium who wants to learn and grow creatively.
The WHO and the WHAT of this Event
Fiddleheads & Floss Poetry and Sky Collection are teaming up for a May event for all writers. The editors ◦•●Christina M. Ward ●•◦ and Samantha Lazar got together and decided to do this event for these core purposes:
- To focus on 5 core topics of value to all writers.
- To challenge writers here on Medium to grow their content, their reach, their influence, their followership, and yes, their earnings through the Medium Partner Program. Each themed week will have a Medium-specific growth challenge.
The Five Themes are:
- The Writing Muse — Week ONE
- The Hero’s Journey — Week TWO
- Discovering Greatness — Week THREE
- Storytelling — Week FOUR
- Embracing Your Creative Mind — Week FIVE
Through this event, you’ll experience knowledgeable and inspirational posts on all four of the themes plus a weekly Medium challenge designed to help you grow your Medium influence, partnerships, followership, and yes, your earnings. If you can’t participate, or feel you want to take a more spectator’s role, perhaps you can share a few of the promotional posts as the event unfolds, and cheer on your fellow writers.
This event is completely FREE. No scary downloads or email subscriptions and you don’t have to sign away your soul — it’s just for fun, growth, and exploring the full potential of your writing. It’s a celebration of what you specifically bring to this incredibly attractive yet competitive field. Where do you fit in? How can you find your audience? What the heck is a muse anyway? What is a Hero’s Journey — and how can I sign up for THAT!?
