Lifeline Weekly Prompt | Poetry
March’s Fourth Week Prompt Of Lifeline
Greetings poets,
March is about to end and I am here with the last week's prompt of the month.
Days are passing so quickly. Life goes on and on. Emotions are playing along. So, what is that one thing that makes everyday life a little bit exciting?
It’s music.
Some days ago, I read a wonderful article written by my friend Art Bram
He wrote an article about his love for singing. By reading his article, I rediscover my love for music. I am not a singer nor a fan of singing. But, I love music.
Music is something that has been a part of my life since my childhood. If you ask me what are some of the things, you can’t live without then music will surely in my list.
I believe if there is no music, there is no beauty in life. For me, music is a therapy that refreshes me.
Many times, I found myself completely lost and have no idea about what to do. At those times, I will always have music as my companion.
I think music, is something that gives you the best company no matter where you are whether it’s a railway station or your kitchen. You can enjoy the music everywhere.
“Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.”
-Berthold Auerbach
Listening to music is a part of my daily activities just like doing yoga. I can’t assume a day without listening to music.
Music is a magic.
-Sahil Patel
Music creates the magic of thoughts and emotions and provides you the peace of mind and refreshes your inner soul.
Music is a language of love. It is something that sets your soul on fire. We play music on great occasions such as birthday parties or marriage functions, which represents that music is happiness and love.
There are many benefits of listening to music.
Here are some of them,
- Listening to music relieve the stress
- It makes you healthier
- It’s a great way to relax yourself
- It makes you better
- It boosts your energy
- Music helps you to heal
- Music improves your workout sessions
- Music always helps me to change my mood
Here, I would like to mention one of my favorite songs, Beautiful People by Ed Sheeran.
This song taught me how to be true to myself. This song represents that the people who are living luxurious life aren’t always the happiest ones. People fake themselves to impress others and hide their true identities. They feel embraced when it comes to showing their authentic self.
Every time, when I listen to this song I learned to enjoy being myself. The people who have all the materialistic things are not beautiful. People with have kindness in their hearts are beautiful.
I know you all have your favorite songs that you loved because they bring unique emotions to you.
So, this week’s prompt will give you a chance to write about your favorite song and the feelings it brings about.
This week, let the music inspire poetry.
This week’s prompt is,
Listen to one of your favorite songs and write a poem directly after based on the feelings and emotions that song brought about in you.
A small poem about music.
Music: The best companion
Music is a friend,
A lifetime companion,
Always makes me smile,
When I feel alone,
In the crowd of thousands.
It’s always with me,
In the night,
Or in my gym,
Everywhere I find music,
As a friend who always cheers me up.
Music is a part of my life,
That makes me feel alive.
Nothing influences me,
More than the lyrics of songs,
It seems like music is the only,
The place from where I belong.
When I feel the music,
It realizes me the true beauty of life,
And the inner happiness.
Let yourself get lost in the music,
And enjoy the bit of it.
So whatever you are feeling now,
Whether it’s happiness or sadness,
Just turn on the music,
And cheers,
Because life is good.
I would like to invite all the poets of Lifeline to respond to the prompt.

Poem of the week
The poem of the week is written by Love.
A wonderful poem on the little acts of love. Every feeling is well penned with some beautiful words. We all need love, but sometimes we are so afraid of it. A poem that touched me. I am sure, you all will love to read it.
