Many Americans Have This in Common
One thing we might be united on in this state

It’s August 2021 — yet at times it feels like August 2020.
A recent webinar said that “61% of Americans are feeling burnt out — the overwhelm of all the uncertainty that we have faced since 18 months. So many people are feeling overworked and undervalued.” This is according to research found by Karissa Kochis who works for Tony Robbins.
With this in mind, many feel a desire to step into something more. They have started to take that risk and follow their passion.
As I continued to listen, she shared that “95% of people are considering leaving their job.” WOW! — could that be true?
Can you relate?
The economy is experiencing something it never has before, as we are in times we have never seen before.
Such interesting times — as I place no judgment on what has been happening since the arrival of this NEW decade. I’ve written so much since March 2020 regarding our NEW normal.
I follow many communities and in the spiritual community; they shared then and continue to share now that we are in this time for a reason — and that it’s for our highest good.
You may choose to believe that — or not. It’s your choice.
I choose to believe — as I’ve been in some dark places before and have found the light. I believe that life happens for and not to us.
In one particular article, Peace in a Time of Panic, dated 4/13/2020, I wondered if this pandemic was here to “wake us up.”
“Some will look at this time as a loss, others will see it as a time of gain. Are you in reaction or in creation?”
It seems that many people are now choosing creation. Are you one of them? Tired of the life you’ve been in — the job, the relationship, the health matters and now wanting something more.
Some are calling this time The Great Resignation. Others look to call it The Great Revolution. It’s a shift in perspective — it’s a shift in mindset.
If you are on the journey that is leading you to something more, here are some tips from a few very successful experts in the field to help you as you navigate these times and beyond:
Gabby Bernstein: What is one thing that you can do each day that moves you forward to your next step? Doesn’t have to be a big thing, just something each day that will bring you closer to what you desire.
Mel Robbins: Use The 5 Second Rule — count to 5 and just do what you need to. No thinking to talk yourself out of it, just do it. So many of us think but don’t act. Nothing happens without action.
Dean Graziosi: Everyone is busy, but not everyone is productive. Is what you are doing each day moving you towards your goal? What are your habits and routines and do they need to change? Discipline sounds like a tough word, but it’s needed to be successful.
Amy Porterfield: Devote 10 minutes each day to visualize your goals. The best time is mornings to paint the picture of where you want to go in your life and/or business. It helps keep your goals on your mind and then you can begin to take the necessary actions to get there.
Ryan Levesque: Keep your wardrobe simple. Ryan has the same polo in 14 different colors. This way you don’t have to think about what to wear. This allows you to open up more space to create your business/career or for any change in your life. Another tip is to meal prep and eat the same foods for that same reason.
In the webinar, I listened to said, “People are thinking about or are quitting their jobs at a higher rate than they have ever done before. This is according to a poll done at Monster.com.”
If you desire something NEW, I hope that you find the tips from the experts to be of some guidance to you. I am not an expert myself but I have experience with all that I shared. I see the benefits of having these habits and routines in my life.
