Make Yourself Mentally Stronger In Tough Times
You were a cub who became a lion.
Tough times can be unbearable and overwhelming at times. You’re dealing with one problem after another and can’t seem to take a break. Dealing with problems is different for everyone for different reasons. It can be you’re dealing with financial issues, relationship issues, family issues or mental issues. It’s you against the world. That’s how it feels.
Tough times make us think “Why am I going through this?”
But you should think: “What is this teaching me?”
You can choose to stay in negativity or get out of negativity by choosing to stay positive which is a winner-mentality. You learn a valuable lesson from being in a warzone. Life challenges you and gives you the opportunity to grow from battles.
You need that warrior mindset.
You can’t let your emotions take over you and you can’t take everything personally. People’s frustration is not always about you. You can’t control people’s perception of you. You can only control your perception about yourself. It’s time to decrease the worry of what other people think about you. You should care less what people think about you because it’s not your job to make people like you. The most compatible people will come to you. Let the right people choose you. Don’t let weak people break you down easily. The strongest people on this planet never had an easy life to begin with. Staying mentally strong gives you inner strength. Mental strength equals living a long life.
You only hurt yourself if you keep worrying. Worrying won’t help you to solve problems.
Stillness is the key.
Tough times are a gift.
Tough times suck big time. It’s brutal and unfair.
But you need to suffer to be strong.
Tough times make you wiser with years. Not dumber or weaker with years.
You start to deal with tough times in a better way. Tough times give you mental strength. To become tough, you must suffer in this life to understand what’s right or wrong in this world. To understand what’s fair and unfair in this world. You must suffer to gain the empathy trait and understand people’s suffering.
When you were a young, naive kid, you didn’t know how to deal with the situation. You were innocent and extremely emotional. You would cry if you got hurt. As an adult, you pick yourself up, dust yourself off, handle the situation better and try again.
You went from a cub to a lion.
Your life is not ending. Your life is just beginning. Life gives you the greatest challenge through other people to send you a valuable lesson. There is no accident in your life. They’re there for a reason: To make you wiser.
Example:
You experience heartbreak over a guy who left you after all the romantic words he told you.
Life is telling you to stop listening to people’s words and watch their actions instead. Life is telling you that action speaks louder than words. Actions clarify a person’s true character.
That’s a valuable lesson you’ve learned and you can share that lesson with other people.
Never think that tough times make you weaker. It only makes you stronger and immune to struggles. One day, nothing can hurt you, lock you down, break you and make you cry. You refuse to let other people’s misery destroy your soul.
To become mentally strong
You have to:
- Talk to people who are proud of who you are. You need to let out your feelings to someone who cares to listen. Holding everything inside hurts your soul.
- Stop taking everything personally. Become tolerant of people’s different opinions of you but don’t let it affect you emotionally. Trust yourself.
- Let go of feeling the need to control everything. Controlling everything is mentally exhausting and not worth it. Let go of everything like you’re letting go of birds that lived in a cage.
- Mute the chaos in your head. You have to meditate in the present moment. Stillness has answers for you if you care to listen. Stillness is the key.
- Stop living in the past. Because it doesn’t exist anymore. Don’t let the past control your present moment. Invest more time in the present than in the past. The present is all you ever have.
- Understand that fear is an illusion. You’re scared of something that hasn’t happened yet. You don’t know what’s going to happen if you haven’t tried it.
- Choose positivity over negativity. You either choose to stay negative or happy. Positivity heals you, negativity breaks you. Choose to be happy. Strive to become happier with times.
- Move on. Refuse to be a victim and letting other people destroy you. Don’t care what other people think of you. Strive to move forward, not backward. You’re only evolving and changing into a beautiful butterfly.
Two quotes to live by:
“The ability to continue moving when you are feeling scared, fearful or lazy is the sign of true mental strength.” — Matthew Donnelly
“You have power over your mind, not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength.” — Marcus Aurelius
—
God wants to see you happy. Not sad.
The great thing about being mentally strong in tough times is that you are an inspiration to other people. People will be inspired by your pain and suffering. They will seek advice from you and ask you how you did it. How you overcame the obstacles and struggles. They want to become as mentally strong as you.
You’re a strong diamond that can’t be broken.
