Magnificent Memories are Eternally Priceless
Day 9 poetry prompt

“I want to help people, Mother!” a younger Josh whined seriously I think I should join this group, that club, a super teens’, or girls’ generous guild
“Are you sure you can help others just by joining that group, Baby?” that’s what my mom fondly calls me I can vividly remember in my teens
“Oh, but there are other things you have to give priority, too, like you — your studies, “Girl, you should think twice or even thrice ‘Charity begins at home’, instill in your mind”
That’s how my mom molded me as she emphasized then, you can serve others out there, just begin first within yourself, your home, and every ounce of aid follows
days, months, years have passed since you left Mom I am still grieving at times, I miss you so much more you passed on such an exceptional memory which has far become a priceless treasure…
“Be thankful for the memories you have had, good or bad as they are your defining and trying moments of your life, molding you into who and what you are today.” — Josh Balerite Acol
This poetic piece is a responder to my friend Sahil Patel’s 9th-day prompt:
“IF YOU COULD FREEZE TIME IN ONE MOMENT OF YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD IT BE? WRITE A POEM IN HONOR OF THAT MEMORY. “— Sahil Patel
I do hope I have done justice to it. Kindly refer to the link undermentioned:
