Love While You Can

Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength while loving someone deeply gives you courage. ~Lao Tzu

The sun is setting and in a little while

You shall cry thorns, your tears will be as guile.

You will behold your loved ones no more,

For the way you came is not the same as you will go.

Love them gently as in handling a newborn babe,

Assure them daily in every act that’s made.

Show them, tell them, give to them all your dear heart.

All flesh perishes and the spirit from it will surely depart.

Why do you cry now that your loved one is gone?

You shall see them again and will no longer be alone.

Weep not for their leaving, you should rejoice!

Honor their loving hugs and the sweetness of their voice.

Rejoice I say! for all their troubles are surely now ended,

Resume your life remembering this is only the beginning …

May is the loveliest month of them all — a pleasure and a memorial.

Thank you for reading…
