I’ve been working on a few articles to help (new) writers find topics to write about. I started with an article about how I find a crazy amount of ideas. You can read that here:

Then, I decided to be a bit more specific. So I started a series of 5 articles about topics everyone has something to say about. This is number 2.

If you didn’t read the first one, here it is:

Today’s topic is: Food & Cooking

Who doesn’t love a nice home cooked meal? So let’s write about our passion (or lack thereof) for cooking.

You can share your favourite recipe (either in short form or traditional format), and the story behind it. I’d love to read about how your grandfather always prepared this special dish on a Saturday when the whole family ate together. Or about the day you just threw some leftovers together and accidentally created the most delicious dish ever.

Tell me how you feel when preparing a meal for your loved ones. Or why you love taking the time to make elaborate dishes and set the table for yourself, even though you eat alone.

Don’t you like cooking? Tell us why! Try to write a funny article that makes us laugh about that one time the pasta sauce hit the ceiling.

Informative articles about food & cooking

You could also share something about your relationship with food, which can be either healthy or unhealthy. Or about the importance of food in your culture and / or country.

I’d love to learn more about the way people eat in countries far away from where I live.
