Loneliness Doesn’t Bother Me
A poem about self-discovery
Dear, you left me alone, Thinking it would bring me down, But solitude is now my throne, Where I wear my truest crown.
My loneliness is older than the moon and earth, A timeless fellow that echoes since the moment of my birth. It haunts me like a shadow in the light every day, And in the stillness of the night, it never goes away.
Wandering down these forgotten pathways, Of the abandoned forests, Shadows dance in wild ways, I feel as if I belong to them.
I sit beside the streams, That dance from mountain heights, And feel the rush of life and dreams, In the flowing waters and sights.
I chase the colorful butterflies, That takes me back to my childhood, And I love the confident sounds of horses, As I follow the eagles’ flights.
I live and breathe amongst the birds, With each note heard, my heart is stirred, And in their presence, I find my peace, As their songs never seem to cease.
Those far-off mountains may claim, To know each bird’s song by name, Their music remains a mystery, A secret shared only with me.
For I’ve discovered myself, That was forbidden, A treasure trove of wonder, A gem that was hidden.
In silence, I find my voice, In stillness, I find my peace, I am my own best choice, My solitude will never cease
So let my loneliness linger, For it’s a part of who I am, It’s a companion on my journey, And a joy that comes from within.
