Loneliness
Of poets and other creatives

Loneliness is dreaded by a lot like a fierce solitary demon avoided like a curse by most who run like hell away from it
They seek out someone else’s embrace to avoid the dread of being alone along the way many themselves debase endure toxicity, not to be on their own
Poets are not afraid of being alone nor do the other creatives that is when their skills they hone away from others, friends or foes
They tend to shun social noise and whatever rattles their thoughts they stay away from some joys that require mingling and talking
Poets are lonely, they’re not alone their Loneliness affects them little though it can still cut to their bone Loneliness too needs moderation
When they don’t write or create they mingle with people again mostly to observe, their eyes sate get inspired for their next piece
Nietzsche wrote poets are shameless because they exploit their experiences I confess, of that I am not blameless that is how I have always behaved
Creatives cannot become partners unless they stay out of each other’s way it’s a potential recipe for disaster to be each other’s Muse and artist
Every time creatives socialize they long to go back to Loneliness their lover in a thin disguise to write, draw, paint, build, create!
If they are long away from Solitude they feel like they’re cheating her got softened by social mollitude and only Loneliness can fix them
Yet she welcomes them back every time she does not feel jilted or betrayed she helps them write blank or rhyme paint with acrylics, digital or oil
Another poem by Nikolaos Skordilis:
And a story written by the 11-year old daughter of Melissa Gray, that moved me a lot:
