Living With Grace
How to love your life in 2022

“Grace doesn’t depend on suffering to exist, but where there is suffering you will find grace in many facets and colors.” ― Wm. Paul Young, The Shack
It had been many days since I took a walk outside. The snow and ice kept me warm and bundled in a layer of fleece inside our home. Yet, the garden beckoned me with lessons to learn.
Some surfaces still covered with ice invited me to look closer. There were little pockets of snow tucked here and there. All of nature was alive with possibility. My garden whispered to me in the wind, grace.
I was stunned when I came into the front yard and saw tiny little rosebuds on my miniature rose bushes. Those plants taught me resilience. Coming through the storm and then blooming bright, sharing their joy with us.
In 2022 I invite you to be like the roses. Persist until your dream bursts forth with color and celebration.
We all have power deep within us. It is our choice to bring it forth into the world for all to see. Give yourself grace when you stumble. Care for your wounds with loving care. After you heal, come and share your story so we may know we are not alone.

Sometimes we need to spend time to grow our roots, gaining courage through the ice and snow. When we are ready, our creativity blooms. Each petal unfolds with grace and splendor.
Treat yourself with love in the new year, and you will grow beyond your wildest dreams. You never know when ideas will come forth, springing out of winter’s cold.

Signs of renewal are all around us, not only a new year on the calendar; but opportunities to change ourselves into who we are becoming.
My wish for you today is for you to plan for renewal with grace, hope, and resilience at your side. I cannot wait to see you all bloom in 2022!
Happy New Year with love, grace and resilience!

Today I want to share a piece by my friend Hamsalekha. She wrote a beautiful poem on how a mother’s labor pains giving birth can teach us valuable and loving lessons in life. Thank you, Hamsalekha, for this lovely poem.
