Lucy (The Eggcademic) [she/her] wrote this poem in response to Maryjo Bautista’s prompt: appreciate the beauty in everyday life. To me, the beauty in my day is the mindful, slow moments I can incorporate into my day. “慢活” essentially translates to slow living. My morning schedule still feels hectic though I really try to work in those moments of mindfulness. I’m striving to add more of this to my day. And yes, the title of this poem is inspired by Daniel Kahneman’s book title (Thinking: Fast and Slow!).
