Listen to the Whispers of Nature’s Wisdom
A loving tribute in verse to a nurturing force for her presence
Amidst the emerald canopies, where sunbeams merrily stray Nature shares her timeless tales, her wit on display She weaves her vibrant magic, in hues both bold and soft And in every masterpiece, holds magnificent truths aloft
In a river’s ceaseless flow, we learn to adapt and sway Life’s currents divert our course, but onward we shall stay For just like water’s endless dance, we too must ebb and glide Embracing change with grace, learn to flow with the tide
Beneath the moon’s soft glow, nocturnal creatures roam They teach us patience in the dark, that night is not alone So when life’s shadows cloud our path, and stars seem out of sight Remember, in the darkest hour, hope holds its light
On the mountaintops, where skies and earth unite Eventually, there comes higher ground so bright With every uphill climb, we conquer each day Perseverance molds us, encouraging us on our way
In forests’ ancient pathways, the trees stand tall and wise Their roots — a testament to their strength, no storm can ever chastise They teach us to remain grounded, anchored in our core And though the winds of change may blow, we’ll stand firm, forevermore
From a flower’s delicate petals, we learn life’s fleeting grace In a blossom’s ephemeral ballet, we find the perfect place For in each one’s beauty, we glimpse life’s tender art To cherish moments, hold them dear, and etch them on the heart
In ocean’s grand and vast embrace, humility takes its place, For seas declare with gentle grace, we’re but a thread in nature’s lace. Yet, in the depth of every soul, lies courage to explore, The abundance in store, the wonders to adore.
And as the seasons change, we see the cycle of rebirth, A lesson in resilience, as life reclaims the earth. With each goodbye, a fresh hello, as chapters come and go, We learn that after every fall, new blooms begin to grow.
Listen to nature’s whispers, her wisdom ever true, Her graceful lessons call to us, recharging hearts anew. Within her benevolence, a guiding hand is found, In nature’s loving hold, life’s mysteries are unbound.
Not enough can be said about the serenity and healing power of nature as she gently and unhurriedly teaches us the way of life. Not only does she soothe, she also uplifts our spirits.
I find that when I feel low, a walk in nature is the best way to get out of my head and quickly feel better. When outside, whether gazing up at a tall tree or the spread of grass on the ground, or the vast expanse of the sky above me, I observe other lives going about their day. By slowing down my breathing, and inhaling the air around me, I get a sense of being but a part of this beautiful universe.
I bend down to watch an ant carry several times its weight, patiently, persistently.
A few steps ahead, is a snail, leisurely moving. I don't know if it has a destination. Then there’s the spider weaving its silken web, shimmering in the sun. Seemingly fragile but strong enough.
I watch a leaf flip over and over in the sudden breeze and smile as a watch a child chase after it.
As I look around, observe, I realize worrying is futile. True peace is in appreciating the present moment, and in the little things.
