Listen, O Human

Let us again together our Mother Nature nurse

There was a time not so long ago,

Humankind and us let each other peacefully grow.

We were content with nature’s supplies,

Water, air, food was for each of us suffice.

Then man came upon discoveries and inventions,

The more he created, the more he destroyed without apprehensions.

In the wake of making his life more comfortable,

He created discomfort in all ours which made us all vulnerable.

His activities grew more and more insufferable

Polluting, destroying, killing, everything he did which was detestable.

Gone are the days when we lived in peace,

Each waking moment is now spent in unease.

Nature stands disrupted and destroyed,

Our homes and lives lay in a deep void.

Oh! Human, we beg of you to see what you’ve done,

For you to do something about it the time has come!

Climate change is one major part of it,

Cold weather, burning heat, and droughts, are you not affected by these even a bit?

There is a scarcity of water and hunger spreading like wildfire

Both you and we are soon gonna be in circumstances dire.

The Animal World relies on you for help and protection,

As the smarter one, we now need you to take some serious action.

Before things turn from bad to worse,

Let us again together our Mother Nature nurse.
