A Letter to Myself
You’re a hero, you’re a survivor.
Hello, dear self,
Yes, amazing and wonderful yourself.
Stop being upset about what someone said,
Don’t bother about what happened, instead move ahead.
Yes, life hasn’t to you always been fair,
But through the struggles, you’ve emerged victorious with a flair.
You’re a hero, you’re a survivor,
Of your own life don’t let others be the driver.
Yes, you have made mistakes and done some stupid things,
But let these not tie you down with self-loathing strings.
Look where you stand today and how far you have come
Your achievements are applause-worthy and you’re an inspiration to some.
There are those who hate you, try to bring you down or of your success are envious,
Ignore such negativity, focus on your positives, as you have miles to go and aren’t so precarious.
