Prompt — “Settle Into The Static”

When we think of static we most often think of static electricity as shown in the picture above.
However, static fundamentally can be described as without action or movement. Yet we can also see and hear static! Our spirit can also see and hear “static” as B.S.!
On the other hand, in physics, static can be described as objects at rest or in equilibrium. “Rest and Equilibrium” — beautiful spiritual goals!
Spiritual — Static Electricity
Fundamentally static electricity is the result of an imbalance between negative and positive charges in an object. These charges can build up on the surface of an object until they find a way to be released or discharged.https://www.loc.gov/everyday-mysteries/item/how-does-static-electricity-work/
In our lives, imbalances between negative and positive experiences are inevitable and have a profound impact on us. Further, the reality is that life experiences build up in our spirit and will inevitably find a way to be released.
Rest and Equilibrium
In physics, static can be described as objects at rest or in equilibrium. “Rest and Equilibrium” — beautiful spiritual goals! Our spiritual static electricity transfers via friction, conduction, induction, or polarization.
Friction — It is not as much what happens to us but how we respond to it. We often speak, advise, and are advised about self-care. What about self-talk? I purposely stop negative conversations in my mind and/or with others with words of affirmation and recounting how grace and mercy came through when I thought I was at the end of my rope. Friction happens to make us appreciate times of rest and equilibrium.
Conduction — I think of conduction as the lessons learned along our journey. Similar to touching a hot stove- — “once burned, once learned” The heat from the hot stove transfers to our hand and we learn the lesson. We must allow life lessons to transfer to our spirit, soul, character. Spiritually, some of the life lessons may sting and/or leave a scar. As it has been stated, the scar is a reminder of our survival! Tend the wound, continue the journey, let the scar remind us of the survival! Lesson learned — appreciate times of rest and equilibrium
Induction — Ok here’s a stretch! Induction in physics refers to creating a magnetic field. What is our spiritual magnetic field? What types of experiences and people do we draw into our space? What energy do we bring into a space? Do we believe and act upon the law of attraction? What if we attract someone or something that initially appears foreign but we slowly begin to see/feel alignment? Do we really know them? Can we? Do we really know ourselves? Yes, this was a stretch! Manifesting the law of attraction may help us settle into the static.
Polarization — Sure! The separation, congregation of like energies. NOT SO FAST!! In Physics this separation also provides both negative and positive energies without one dominating the other. Spiritually, I believe this calls us to accept that we too have negative and positive energies. The difference is how we choose to use these energies. How we use these energies impacts our ability to settle into the static.
This was a very interesting prompt! I often challenge my creativity by researching the topic to write a well-rounded story. This is the creative static of my writing method. Yes, writing brings me rest and equilibrium. I settle into the static.
