The Most Important Thing For A Poet To Do

Writing Poetry Doesn’t Get Easier But It’s Oh So Much Fun?

Some read their words on paper, and some are printed in books. Some are too clever for their own good and send them in-person letters. They’re all quite brilliant, though. Boredoms never matter to these gifted wordsmiths because they were always writing poetry from day one.

The Key To Future

Some work in factories, making things. I know all the mechanics and artisans who work hard to make the things you need. They have signatures, but most don’t care enough to have them. They are as much a part of their actual name as the signature was part of their name when it came out of the pen. The talented poets I know, they have names too.

Some have pen names. Some have names that are too long for one person to carry or say. Some have names that are too quick to say. Some names flow like rivers, others are like storms at sea.

Some of the poets I know are called Prose or Eulogy. Some are called Tragedy or Comedian. Some are called Euphoria or Delirium. Some names are so long that they’re not even names. They’re just a collection of words that describe someone with a name. Some names sound like wind chimes or raindrops.

A Genius Guide to Writing Poetry

Some have been in the family for generations. They don’t even have to try. They come up with poems like it ain’t no thang. Some are short, sweet, and to the point. They tell stories within seconds and sting even more, when they’re done. Some are dark and ominous. Some are light and airy. Some talented poets I know are loud and boisterous. Others are quiet and reserved.

Some talented poets I know don’t even like to talk much at all. They just want to read out loud in front of a crowd of people just so they can be heard. Or write or sing or paint or make something huge with rocks or air itself.

Dear poet, share your poetry and poems with us. The poets are always coming up with these new works, and it’s annoying to know that I can’t write poetry as good as them. I’m going to try. I’m going to try by writing a poem out of the best words that I know. If you don’t like it, I’ll hang my head in shame, but at least I wrote something. Apparently, the talented poets get written about a lot too, so at least they will have some words to talk about when they’re all here in the future.
